Baby celebrates the brave, unsung heroes
History is made by those who give a damn — this is the message that Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey want to drive home with their recent offering, Baby. The film is an ode to unsung heroes, who selflessly fight against all odds to keep the country safe.
Written and directed by Neeraj, the movie has Akshay displaying daredevil stunts as he combats international terror. It also has an interesting ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa and debutante Madhurima Tuli.

No surprise then that the movie has been awaited by the audience.

“It’s an honour like no other, to not only portray the vision of this genre of film created by Neeraj, but to bring to the forefront the real unsung heroes of our nation, which is the biggest thing an actor can do,” says Akshay, adding, “Baby is a film I am proud of regardless of its outcome, we all are.”
Says Neeraj, “It’s been wonderful to work with such a talented cast and crew. It’s the hard work of my teammates that has resulted in such strong audience anticipation.” Of course, the patriotic theme of the film makes it an apt release for the Republic Day weekend.
Bhushan Kumar, who has produced the movie along with Krishan Kumar and Shital Bhatia, says, “It’s our first action thriller. The film has edginess, fast-paced action sequences and has been shot on an international scale.”
Baby, presented by Gulshan Kumar and produced by T-Series, Cape Of Good Films, Friday Filmworks and Crouching Tiger, releases today.
