Ayushmann walks out of Ramesh Sippy's directorial comeback?
It was 18 years ago that RameshSippyhelmed the Shah RukhKhan-RaveenaTandonstarrer 'ZamaanaDeewana'. The 'Sholay' director has not wielded the megaphone since. He was happy producing films, while his son, RohanSippy, donned the director’s hat. Two years ago however he had announced his plan to go back to his first love.
Now, TOI has it that Sr Sippy has bought the rights of a foreign film, which he intends to remake.

He also finalised the lead actor-- his son’s Nautanki Saala hero Ayushmann Khurrana. However, the buzz is that even after confirming, the actor has backed out.
A source said, “Ayushmann had a chat with Rohan about the project and after watching the original, he instantly agreed to be a part of the remake.” Rohan informed his father about the development. A week later, a small party was organised to celebrate this. However, the actor suddenly had a change of heart and called up Rohan to say that he cannot do the film.
A source added, “Ayushmann attended the party. Rohan got quite a shock, when after a week, the actor told him that he will not do the film.”
When contacted Ayushmann said, “We are in talks on several projects but have neither signed nor declined any so far. We are waiting for the right script.”
Seems it is some other project, and not the Ramesh Sippy’s return vehicle, the actor is referring to.
