Coming from a middle-class background, he initially prioritized his professional growth over his personal life. However, he quickly realized the importance of balancing both family and career, especially after the success of his first film.



When asked if he received attention from girls after becoming popular, Ayushmann revealed that his wife, Tahira, was his girlfriend during his Pop Stars days. He mentioned that people often wondered what she saw in him back then, acknowledging that he has evolved over time.

The actor also shared his thoughts on long-term relationships, emphasizing that choosing the right partner is one of the most important decisions in life. He noted that the right partner can help you achieve great things, while the wrong one can lead to downfall. Reflecting on his own journey, Ayushmann explained that growing up in a patriarchal environment and evolving into a feminist was largely possible because of his supportive partner.



Ayushmann further shared that any attention he receives from women now is thanks to his wife, who has played a significant role in shaping the person he is today. He emphasized that their relationship isn't driven by materialism, recalling how they worked together in theatre, with his wife writing plays and him acting in them. For Ayushmann, the key to a successful relationship lies in friendship—if you enjoy spending time together, it means you’re truly connected.
