Actors keep coming up with innovative ways to promote their film, whether it is through social media or any other technique. Recently "Badhaai Ho" actor Ayushmann Khurrana took to his IG handle to post a shirtless pic of him and used the opportunity to announce his upcoming movie, that turns out to be an action film!
Taking to his IG handle, the actor wrote, "Morning. Want to write a song called ‘O kehndi mainu Daddy.' Haan haan, iss caption ki ek story daali thi. But this deserved to be as a post caption.” “BTW, abhi neend poori nahi hui. Where's my eye mask? I want to go back to sleep again. These blackout curtains are a fail. Anyway, it's a throwback picture. Ek action film aane waali hai. Bahut excited hoon".
His post attracted Singer Lisa Mishra's attention and she commented, “Love that this is the promo for an action film”, along with laughing emojis. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra wanted to know more and asked, “Kaun si?”
The film in question is An Action Hero, directed by Anirudh Iyer. Along with Ayushmann, the film stars Jaideep Ahlawat in a key role.
Earlier this year, Ayushmann had shared a blurry poster of the film and captioned it as “Stay in the blur till 2nd of December 2022”
