Ayushmann Khurrana is a director’s actor: ​​Raaj Shaandilyaa

Raaj Shaandilyaa, who is known for penning the dialogues and screenplay for films like Bhoomi, Freaky Ali, Welcome Back and Jabariya Jodi is excited about his first directorial project. Raaj will helm the upcoming film, Dream Girl, which features Ayushmann Khurrana.
“The experience of directing Ayushmann was been great. He has a lot of clarity as an actor and is down to earth. The best thing about him is that he is a director’s actor.He has done a great job in the film. Since it’s my directorial debut, he also gave me inputs from time to time,” says Raaj, as he praises the Badhaai Ho actor.
The film, which is expected to hit theatres in September this year, also stars Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Rajesh Sharma and Vijay Raaz, among others. Its music has been composed by Meet Bros and Kumaar and Shabbir Ahmed have penned the lyrics. “The film’s concept germinated around 2014. Last year, I reached out to Ayushmann for the script narration. Later, I connected with Ekta Kapoor (producer) and she liked the concept,” says the director.
