The talent hunt show titled Popstars was judged by Indipop band 'Euphoria's lead singer Palash Sen. Although young Khurrana did not win the competition, his talent and sincerity caught Sen’s attention. Years later, in 2020, the singer took to Twitter to share a throwback picture with the actor.

This message coincided with the release of the film, 'Gulabo Sitabo,' where Ayushmann starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Fans quickly filled the comments section with love, praising the actor’s perseverance.
