Family comes first for the industry bahus. And Ayesha Takia Azmi is no different. After the recent attack on pa-in-law and SP leader Abu Azmis cavalcade in Ganj police station area of Rampur, Ayesha is back in Mumbai with hubby Farhan. Private person that she is, Ayesha isnt too keen on talking about the incident. But that doesnt mean she is any less concerned.
It is very personal, says Ayesha, while adding, I dont want to get into talking about politics.
He is fine now and that is all that matters. Ask her whether she harbours any
political ambitions, and this is what the actor had to say, Id just support my family. And if someone from the family decides to join politics, I would support him. I was there for Farhans dad and if Farhan ever wishes to join politics, Ill be there for him, too.
Moving on to films, the actor insists that the industrys equation with married heroines has changed over the years. In 2009, it doesnt matter any longer whether an actor is married or not. Ive always taken off-beat decisions and Ill continue to be in front of the camera. Being choosy about roles, Ayesha only gives her nod to projects that excite her. It has to be a story which, I feel, needs to be told. What matters when I agree to a project, is the people Im working with. Its important to like the people I will be spending my time with. Next comes the role. It doesnt matter whether the part is short or lengthy, but it has to be substantial. And finally, like I said, its the story that matters, adds Ayesha. That is exactly why she chose to be a part of Revathys next, Phir Tum Mil Gaye... This is a true story which needed to be told, stresses Ayesha, and adds, that for her, the most important relationship is the mother-daughter bonding. So, when she was narrated the script of an orphan daughter adopting a mother, she could not stay away from being a part of the venture.
But the actor doesnt want to limit herself to the big screen. There are a couple of business plans that I have up my sleeve. In fact, Farhan and I plan to open a boutique hotel. I also want to open a chain of cafs, apart from starting a clothing line with my mom and sister, she rattles off. This lady certainly means business.
