Aamir Khan's uneasy relationship with the publishing industry is well established. His mistrust of authors keen to tell his story their way, or probe into his personal life and ferret information about the aspects of his life he is not comfortable talking about there are enough and more anecdotes from authors who have written about the star.

The most recent example being Christina Daniels' book, I'll Do It My Way, which was carefully positioned as a filmography rather than a biography, of the actor who refused to meet the author or help with any kind of inputs.

Aamir however has made an exception, we hear, upon the request of the man who is very special to him Mansoor Khan. A book on the making of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak the film that was important for all those involved with it, is in the making. And the accidental filmmaker, writer and passionate economist who is a famous recluse helped author Gautam Chintamani crack the Aamir code.

The result, we are told, was an uninterrupted session with the elusive star, who came up with some fabulous insights and inputs. Did you know, for instance, that at the time of making QSQT, Mansoor was reluctant to tear himself away from his other pet project, the screenplay of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, because he was suffering from a writer's block?
