Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's next with Kangana Ranaut- Jassie Gill titled ‘Panga’

Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has officially announced that her next starring Kangana Ranaut, Jassie Gill and Neena Gupta has been titled ‘Panga’. Taking to Instagram, the filmmaker of ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ fame, shared a video featuring quotes by herself and her leading stars along with family photos from their personal albums.
“From a team backed by its families comes the story of a family taking on the world,” the text reads before introducing the title.Ashwiny shared the video with the caption, “My existing reality is a reflection of my dear ones’ belief in me. From the team backed by its families. Presenting #PANGA.”

Leading man Jassie also shared the video with the caption, “Family ek aisa emotion hai, jo rulake hasata hai aur hasake rulata hai. Looking forward to being a part of #Pangawith #KanganaRanaut & @Neena_gupta. Directed by @ashwinyiyertiwari. MY NEXT IN BOLLYWOOD FILM #Blessed.”

In an interview, the director revealed that ‘Panga’narrates a story reaffirming that a family that laughs, cries, dreams together, is a solid support system and makes everything seem possible even in the face of adversity.
According to reports, the film will see Kangana will be playing the role of a National-level Kabaddi player and Jassie will feature as her husband. Kangana will have to undergo extensive training for her part and the director had been scouting for a coach to teach her the different techniques of the sport. The actress will also have to reportedly undergo a major physical transformation to match a kabaddi player’s physique.
‘Panga’ is scheduled for a 2019 release.
