MUMBAI: It's a fight to the finish between Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu at the box office, but our online poll already suggests that Dil Ka Rishta wins hands down over Jism.

MUMBAI: It''s the fight of the titans once again. With two well known model-turned-actresses fighting it out at the box office, there''s a lot of hype surrounding the release of Aishwarya Rai''s
Dil Ka Rishta
and Bipasha Basu''s
Jism
.
Interestingly, both films have a lot of similarities. They even have two model-turned-actors opposite the leading ladies -- Arjun Rampal and John Abraham, respectively.
Both films are home-productions of actresses Aishwarya and Pooja Bhatt.
1x1 polls
While
Dil Ka Rishta
is being produced by Aishwarya''s brother Aditya Rai and has screenplay by her mother Vrinda Rai,
Jism
is produced by Pooja Bhatt with a lot of creative help from dad Mahesh Bhatt.
In fact, Amit Saxena, the director of
Jism
goes so far as to say that the film is Mahesh Bhatt''s baby entirely. Incidentally, Amit has also edited the Bhatt''s earlier hit,
Raaz
.
While industry wallahs claim that it''s a fight to the finish this Friday, others claim that the result will finally show whether Ash or Bipasha is the true flavour of Bollywood this season. So we decided to conduct an online poll on which film the audience would prefer to see.
And guess what? Aishwarya''s
Dil Ka Rishta
wins hands down. No less than 43 per cent of those submitting the poll said that they would prefer Ash''s film while only 28 per cent said they''d prefer to see
Jism
. Eleven per cent of online voters said they''d see both films while 18 per cent claimed they were untouched by all the hype and would give both a skip. So there you have the verdict. As far as online pollsters are concerned, Aishwarya, indeed, is still the reigning queen at the marquee.
The latest box-office figures, however, show that both films have not had great advance bookings. Then again, the era of great advance bookings is a thing of the past, with only over-hyped films like
Kaante
making a mark on that front. Trade analysts say that the two films are expected to pick up by word of mouth, but a clearer picture will only emerge by the end of the day on Friday.
Further, they predict that the family audience will opt for the ''clean''
Dil Ka Rishta
rather than the much hyped
Jism
which is being projected as an adult movie which should appeal to the front benchers.
Much speculation still exists about which film will finally race across the finish line, but for that we''ll have to wait for the actual box-office figures. You can bet on one thing though; two of the most beautiful women in the Hindi film industry will be keeping their fingers crossed.
