An extended hearing took place in a Mumbai Court as the Narcotics Control Bureau (

) looked to request an extension on custody of Aryan Khan and other accused Arbaaz Merchant and

According to those present at the hearing, the NCB was represented by Additional Solicitor General (

ASG

) Anil C Singh and counsel Advait M Sethna, while lawyer

Satish Maneshinde

was representing Aryan Khan, and advocate Taraq Sayed was representing Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha.

During the various arguments, the ASG, Anil C Singh, tried to draw similarities between the Aryan Khan case and the Rhea Chakraborty case from last year. To this, advocate Maneshinde pointed out dissimilarities between the two cases. The ASG then argued to the court that he could show Aryan’s involvement from other circumstances, too, to which Maneshinde shot back with more rebuttals. During this back and forth, the ASG commented, “Here it is (the contraband) recovered from the ship”. To which, Maneshinde replied, “The ship is not mine. You should have arrested the thousand others on the ship".

That wasn’t the end of the arguments though. A little later, Maneshinde said, “There is nothing to establish my connection with people on the ship.” To that, the ASG retorted, “Why was he (Aryan) on the ship?” Before Maneshinde could reply, Taraq Sayed retorted, “1300 people were on the ship. It is not even their case that No. 1 (Aryan Khan) was distributing. He can buy the ship but…” That was followed by Maneshinde cutting into the conversation. The war of words between the counsels was animated and lots of heated arguments took place.

Eventually, the court decided that the accused should be kept in custody till October 7 so that the NCB could conduct a fair and effective investigation to prove the involvement or innocence of all the accused.

These Khans with D and P connections and their scions need to stop abusing law of the land. Bollywood stars have been biggest users of drugs and are responsible for propogating drug culture in India which is weakening the future of India with younger generation getting addicted to drugs. 23 years old are not babies to not differentiate between right and wrong and should own up responsibility for their actions. Arrogance, selfishness, abuse of money/parents position in society, taking everything for granted and disrespect for parents are trends which today's youths are advocating. They therefore do not deserve any sympathy or special treatment if they have done anything illegal. If as a country we are really serious to weed out drug menace than Court need to force government to pass a law that NCB on complaints from citizens, raid places selling drugs and concerned Inspector from under whose jurisdiction such cases have been found should be suspended. All peddling of drugs on streets is with full knowledge of local police stations. As regards to 3000kgs drugs confisticated from Adani port, the matter is under investigation. The cargo is of Afghanistan origin loaded on ship from Bandar Abbas, Iran. It is impossible to check 100% contents of every container entering Indian port or for that matter any port in the world. However from description of goods on BL, customs can get clues if cargo is legal or illegal and do a physical examination or if there is a tip off. Even in Europe containers used for Human trafficking passed undetected and many prohibited items skip random customs examination all over the world. With all this over hype on Adani getting clean cheat has no basis for 3 reasons 1) Only the port is managed by Adani but government machinery continue to monitor and regulate activities.2) If Adani was involved for such high value cache, this information would have never leaked to Media with supposedly close proximity of Adani with PM and HM 3) PM is very vocal on India's stand on Taliban allowing revenue generation with drug money to sponsors terrorism will never get any support to Adani as accused in media. This revelations on seizure of drugs was never hushed and full investigation is continuing on this incident. There are group of intelligent politicians making mountain out of mole by peddling false rhetoric to ignorant, ill-informed and naive citizens who accept all accusation against the PM as gospel truth. None of these politicians even whispered on gold smuggling in kerala, drugs confiscated in other ports or airports in India ,even huge cache of weapons and ammunition from across the border and hence don't have moral right to rake up this subject and mislead the citizens of India.
