<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">KOLKATA: Touted by the Mumbai film industry as one of the most promising star sons, Arya Babbar, son of Raj Babbar, faces his first litmus test with the scheduled release of his maiden venture <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Ab Ke Baras</span> next week.<br />With years of meticulous preparation - from being a backstage boy to long hours of work-outs to prune his portly waist and stints in journalism and theatre behind him, the son of actor-producer, MP Raj Babbar and theatre activist Nadira seems confident of tasting success on debut.<br />Arya is the latest entrant in Bollywood whose topline is chock-a-block with star sons and daughters including Kareena Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Vivek Oberoi and Esha Deol.<br />"I can say I am not under any pressure just because I am a star kid.

It''s a good feeling that people expect you to be something and not just another newcomer. This makes me feel good," the 21-year old told a press meet to promote the film here on Sunday.<br />Playing the lead role opposite another debutante Amrita Rao in the movie - a musical love story and thriller based on the themes of re-incarnation and the supernatural - Arya seemed all fired up about his role.<br />"I play a present generation guy, not a collegian with attitude but ...a cool dude," he said.<br />However, he refused to be branded either as an action hero or a lover boy so early in his career. "I''m here to discover how talented I am and in what fields I can excel. So, the more challenges my directors and producers offer me, the more I''ll learn about my own capabilities".<br /></div> </div>
