Farida Jalal were recently invited to star as guests and watch the contestants’ performances on ‘Indian Idol.’ The two veteran stars’ reunion after 53 years was met with a load of fanfare and celebration, including the contestants singing hit songs from their films. One such moment went viral after Irani, 79, started dancing to ‘Kaliyon Ka Chaman,’ while Jalal joined her on stage. Not only that, but everyone on set, including famed singer Shreya Ghoshal, egged the stars on and cheered loudly.

During the latest episode of ‘Indian Idol,’ Aruna Irani and Farida Jalal entered the stage while contestants sang some of their hit songs. As the two veteran stars entered the stage in their best outfits, the judges and contestants could not contain their excitement. Vishal Dadlani was seen whistling in the video, while Shreya Ghoshal cheered and hooted for the two stars as they danced away to songs like ‘Kaliyon Ka Chaman.’
During the show, Irani mentioned, “Mujhe yahan aakar bahut bahut khushi hui, thank you and love you all” (I am very, very happy to be here). They were also asked about their best friends during the show. While the ‘Caravan’ actress mentioned that she and Smitha Ji used to be best friends and that Smitha Ji was a wonderful actress. Jalal, on the other hand, mentioned how the Bollywood industry gave her many beautiful memories, love, and connections over the years. She added that she cannot name just one person, as she has had many good friends over the years for whom she is grateful.

Furthermore, actress Farida Jalal last appeared in Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri’s latest film, ‘O’Romeo’. The actress ended up going viral after a clip from the first teaser of the film showed the veteran star cursing.
