After winning hearts by his portrayal of Lord Ram in television serial Ramayan for more than 30 years, actor Arun Govil is all set to play Lord Vitthal in human form in upcoming film, 'Sant Tukaram'.

Sharing the details about the same, Arun told a news portal that his role is basically a special appearance. The director was very keen that he play this role. He added that a lot of people offer him roles in devotional films but he never agrees to do them. But he did this because of Sant Tukaram as he is revered all over Maharashtra. He was devoted to Bhakti and was also a social reformer.

Elaborating further, Govil added that he wasn’t required to appear like God. He is playing a normal human being who appears in Sant Tukaram’s life. According to him, there should just be a feeling that although he looks like a normal human being, he is more than that.

Spilling some beans on his experience working with director Aditya Om, Arun said that he is quite jovial and that it was very comfortable working with him on the sets.

After playing Lor Ram for 30 long years on television, it was natural for people to still perceive him as one. Sharing his real life experiences with his fans, Arun said that when he travels, he clicks 100 pictures with people at the airport and in the flight. He also added that he never refuses to give pictures because he is grateful to all the love people are showering upon him.
