TALES OF BRAVERY: Arshad Warsi (TOI Photo)Arshad Warsi feels brave after discovering that he had actually shot a scene on a bridge that had big snakes living underneath. Rain, bad light and many other reasons have been responsible for halting or delaying shoots. But here's a strange case where a shoot almost got cancelled, and this was due to snakes! Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria's Dhamaal was being shot at the Borivali National Park in Mumbai with actors Ritiesh Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chaudhary and Javed Jaffrey.
In the scene, the four were required to be on top of a broken bridge. Near the bridge were several rocks, and underneath the rocks were four to five big snakes. All this was discovered while the take was on, and the actors weren't told or even warned as the scene had to be completed! To prevent the snakes from attacking, a few lights were placed strategically, and thankfully, the scene went on undisturbed, without our four actors having a clue about what the drama was all about. "We felt brave when we learnt about what we had done," said Arshad. "Now I have at least one story to tell my grandchildren!"
