On February 3, Arjun Kapoor posted a selfie video on Instagram featuring a picture of his mother, the renowned TV producer and entrepreneur Mona Shourie Kapoor. Reflecting on her birthday, he conveyed his heartfelt sentiments, stating, “Happy birthday, Maa. I miss you all the time, maybe now more than ever.”

His message continued on an emotional note: “Hope you are proud of Ansh & me for trying to be the best version of ourselves after all that you taught us… We try & represent you in the best way we can. I’ve run out of pictures and words as well… I hate that I can’t say anything to you anymore, but one day we will meet again, hug again, speak again. Till then, keep smiling, keep watching over us. Love you to infinity & beyond!”


Anshula Kapoor also joined in paying tribute to their mother by posting throwback pictures from their childhood, featuring Mona and Arjun. In her deeply touching message, she shared: “You would have been 61 today. Haven’t cut a cake with you on your birthday since 2008… It’s been so long. With each year, I come close to forgetting the look on your face every time we sang ‘Happy Birthday’... Miss you every day, Ma—your laugh, your tight hugs, the safety I felt just being in the same room as you. Wish I could hug you just one more time.”


Anshula concluded by reminiscing about the little joys her mother enjoyed, writing that she hopes Mona is indulging in her favourite dishes—dahi kadhi, fish curry, and rice—on this special day.
