Although Cocktail is widely regarded as Deepika Padukone’s breakthrough film, Priyanka Chopra was initially offered the role of Veronica. According to the Times of India, Chopra turned down the opportunity due to doubts about the film's potential.

Priyanka Chopra was originally offered the lead role of Ananya Swaminathan in 2 States before Alia Bhatt took on the part. However, Chopra declined the offer due to her busy schedule, which included commitments to Krrish 3 and Barfi, as reported by the Times of India.

Priyanka Chopra also turned down a role in Salman Khan’s Sultan. The Hindustan Times reports that Chopra was offered the part of Aarfa Ali Khan but suggested her cousin, Parineeti Chopra, for the role instead. Ultimately, Anushka Sharma was cast in the lead role.
