Ranveer Singh 'attractive' during their on-screen collaborations but never pursued a romance.
Different personalities kept them apart
In an interview with
Simi Garewal, Anushka revealed that she once wondered why she wasn’t dating Ranveer Singh. She explained that their personalities were very different, which made their relationship volatile. While she admitted finding him attractive, she emphasized that they remained just friends.
A playful yet intense dynamic
The actress revealed that their dynamic was intense, joking that they could “kill each other” if they tried to be in a relationship. She explained that they wanted very different things from life—Ranveer being highly practical, while she described herself as completely impractical. Despite this, she admitted that she liked him and found him attractive.
Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh first starred together in the 2010 romantic comedy Band Baaja Baaraat, which brought them widespread recognition despite a modest box office performance. They teamed up again in 2011 for Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.
Finding love with Virat Kohli
She also shared that dating a fellow actor was challenging for her. While she never dated any other Bollywood co-stars, she eventually found love with former Indian cricket captain
Virat Kohli.
Anushka met Virat during a brand shoot, and the two quickly connected. They tied the knot in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in December 2017. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Vamika, in 2021, followed by a son, Akaay, in 2024.
On the professional front, Anushka Sharma was last seen in Zero alongside
