So its confirmed now. Anurag Kashyap’s most ambitious project 'Bombay Velvet' will now be produced by Fox Star Studio and not Viacom 18. It is learnt Kashyap and Viacom 18 did have issues about the budget of the film and the director too was concerned about the project as the studio was not making an official announcement of producing the film. On Monday Fox Star Studios announced its partnership with Phantom Films to produce
Bombay Velvet.
The film, which stars
Ranbir Kapoor and
Anushka Sharma, will go on floors in July 2013 and is slated for a worldwide release on 25th Dec 2014. The first film of a trilogy, as planned by Anurag Kashyap,
Bombay Velvet is the story of how the city became a Metropolis, set against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and Jazz.
