With the rise in mob lynching in the country, almost 49 prominent Bollywood personalities like Anurag Kashyap, Aparna Sen, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Mani Ratnam and Konkona Sen Sharma took to their respective social media handles to write an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing their concerns over the issue.
But it looks like the tweet has landed Kashyap into another controversy as a Twitter user gave him a death threat by writing that he had recently cleaned his rifle and shotgun and is currently waiting to see the ace director in person.

It didn't take too long for Kashyap to respond as he forwarded the tweet to Mumbai Police and they were quick enough to reply to the director. The Mumbai Police wrote, "The cyber police station has been sent the account details. Request you to file a police complaint at the your nearest police station for legal action to be initiated."

Kashyap replied back with a thankful tweet which read as "Anyways I want to thank @MumbaiPolice @MahaCyber1 @Brijeshbsingh for helping me with filing the FIR . Thank you so much for the amazing support and starting the process .Thank you @Dev_Fadnavis and thank you @narendramodi Sir. As a father I am more secure now."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kashyap is the producer of Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Saand Ki Aankh' which is being helmed by Tushar Hiranandani and is slated to release on 25th October 2019.
