Anupam Kher takes the Mumbai local

On Saturday, actor Anupam Kher took the Mumbai local from CSMT (

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus

) to

Bandra

, to mark the completion of his 37 years in Mumbai and also to support

Central Railways

' various initiatives.

Kher, who is also known for his association with several noble causes, has been approached by the Indian Railways to create awareness among the people about railway safety measures. The prolific actor who runs a public charitable trust that aims to maximize opportunities for children from less privileged background by promoting and advocating good quality education was approached to promote awareness among people to respect their life and avoid crossing/ trespassing of the railway tracks and also maintain hygiene at railway platforms.

Central Railway

’s team of creative artists led by Santosh Verulkar, who has been regularly making various short films on awareness themes for educating the passengers, will also make a video featuring Kher which will be screened on various television, theatre screens, faster repeaters and on social media platforms.

Besides sharing his special experience and memories of traveling by local train years ago, Anupam Kher shot a special video at The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, a world heritage building. During this visit, the renowned actor also went for a heritage walk at The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus building and a visit to Heritage museum.
