Versatile actor has travelled across the globe and tasted world cuisines. But, what he says he can’t forget is the Indore poha-jalebi. The actor, who was in the city recently to promote his The Anupam Kher Show, says, “The place is still deeply-rooted to its traditions and people are so grounded and innocent. This is one of the many things that help me relate with the folks here. Of course, how can I forget the famous poha-jalebi?” He adds, “I’ve travelled a lot while shooting and tasted poha in different forms in different cities. I recently had it in Chennai, too. But, no one can make it like how Indore does. I’m dying to bring the play to the city.” Kher is also happy with the way cinema has evolved and how it has become more content-driven. He says, “I believe there was a time when audience would watch anything that we brought on the 70mm screen; they didn’t care about the content, script or anything. But slowly, with increasing options in forms of entertainment, they make a choice. Which has forced filmmakers to come up with content-driven fares.”TOIEntertaintimesofindiaThe Times of India EntertainmentWATCH: Anupam Kher is Proud of Wife Kirron Kher
