Anupam Kher congratulates shooter Heena Sidhu on her big win at the 2018 Commonwealth Games

Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher took to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate Indian sport shooter Heena Sidhu on her big win at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Sidhu, who clinched both silver and gold medals at the ongoing multi-sport event in the women's 10m Air Pistol and 25-metre categories respectively, made the country proud with her extraordinary feat.

On Monday, Kher congratulated the young athlete and also shared a few words of encouragement with her. He said, “Dearest @HeenaSidhu10!!! You go ahead, the nation is with you. By unleashing silver and gold medals to India, we all thank the head of the countrymen proudly. These are called #YouthIcon. Glory. �������������� #CWG2018.”

Another celebrity who congratulated the star performer from India is singer Daler Mehndi. He wrote on Twitter: Congratulations to #HeenaSidhu on winning Gold medal in 25m Pistol at #GC2018Shooting.”

With 20 medals to its credit, India continues to remain at 3rd spot on Day 6 of the 2018 Commonwealth Games and is only behind two nations—Australia (50 medals) and England (24).

CWG 2018 is being held in Australia and a total of 71 nations are participating in the event.
