Anupam Kher begins shooting for his 520th film ‘Uunchai’

Known for classics and family dramas like Hum Aapke Hain Koun.! and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’, filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya is currently gearing up for his seventh directorial venture, ‘

Uunchai

’. The film which stars Amitabh Bachchan and

Parineeti

Chopra, will also be starring veteran actor Anupam Kher in a pivotal role.

As the film goes on floors,

took to his social media handle, to share a picture of Barjatya holding the film’s clapper board. The photo was also accompanied by a little note which read, “Friends! Reportedly, the film boasts of an ensemble cast with stars like Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Danny Denzongpa and Sarika alongside Big B, Parineeti and Anupam.The film will most likely have a 40 day schedule.

The news report also quoted a source close to the development which said that the film is a beautiful slice of life tale of four friends, who are aged 60 plus. The four

will be essayed by Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Anupam

Kher

and Danny Denzongpa. On the other hand, Neena Gupta, Sarika and Parineeti Chopra will be the three women on board.


The source also revealed that overseas stint will be followed by short schedules in Mumbai and Delhi before calling it a wrap, and hence the film will be shot over a period of five months and wrap by March 2022. After Oonchai,

will begin with the pre-production of his ambitious marriage drama with Salman Khan.
