Antara Mali, Koena Mitra, Udita Goswami: Where have these Bollywood actresses disappeared?

Bollywood has a plethora of talent with new faces debuting on the big screen every year. While a lot of actresses go on to climb the ladder of success, a few fade after quick success. Be it ‘Company’ actress Antara Mali or 'Dor' actress Ayesha Takia, who also played Salman Khan’s love interest in ‘Wanted’ – a lot of leading ladies from B-Town have disappeared from the scene. Here’s tracing them:

Antara Mali

Quite like her movie ‘Gayab’, Antara disappeared from films a decade ago. She charmed fans with her act in hits like ‘Company’ and ‘Darna Mana Hai’, but faded away from films soon after her role in ‘...And Once Again’ in 2010. The actress fell in love with Che Kurrien, editor of a men’s luxury magazine, and the couple had a hush-hush wedding in 2009. The couple welcomed a baby girl in 2012.

Ayesha Takia

Ayesha started off as a child artiste, earned a name for herself as a model, and even marked a promising Bollywood debut as an adult with ‘Taarzan: The Wonder Car’. She went on to feature in hits like ‘Dor’ and ‘Wanted’, and also starred in the 2005 Telugu film 'Super', with Tollywood star Nagarjuna. However, the actress left films a decade ago and keeps fans updated with social media updates. She got married to Farhan Azmi in 2009. The two are parents to son Mikail Azmi.

Koena Mitra

After a botched-up nose surgery, Koena shied away from the limelight. However, the original ‘Saki Saki’ girl regained her confidence and spoke openly about the mishap eventually. And while the actress has been doing fewer films, she continues to be in the news for her stint in popular reality TV shows. Interestingly, Koena has also started her own beauty clinic in Mumbai.

Sneha Ullal

Claimed to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s lookalike, Sneha marked a starry entry in films opposite Salman Khan with 'Lucky: No Time For Love'. But her striking resemblance to the beauty queen didn’t exactly translate into a glorious Bollywood career. She went on to feature in several Telugu movies and her last big screen release was ‘Bezubaan Ishq’. Not the one to give up on her acting passion, Sneha seems to be resurrecting her career in front of the camera and was seen in the web series ‘Expiry Date’.

Udita Goswami

Riding on a successful career as a model, Udita debuted in Bollywood with ‘Paap’ in 2003. Her act in front of the camera was hailed by many and she went on to bag films like ‘Zeher’ and ‘Aksar’. However, Udita’s career in films lasted only for a decade, with her last outing being ‘Diary of a Butterfly’ in 2012. After a few years of dating, she tied the knot with filmmaker Mohit Suri in 2013 and bid adieu to Bollywood. The couple has two kids--a daughter and a son. While Udita has gone missing from films, she stays connected with her fans on Instagram.
