Annu Kapoor has a huge health scare last month, but he has recovered well. The veteran actor was admitted to a hospital in January, after he complained of chest pain.
The 66 year old actor suffered a heart attack and was asked to rest. Annu Kapoor has now resumed work and told a news portal that ‘health is important’ but since he has seen the struggles of life, he feels that ‘work is also essential’.
Annu Kapoor will soon be seen in ‘Main Deendayal Hun’, wherein he essays the role of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, who was a popular social worker and politician from the period of 1916-1968. Speaking about the same, Annu Kapoor had told BT, "It's rare that an actor gets to essay a role, which is subject-oriented and gives him great creative satisfaction. Acting is all about portraying a character, which you are not in real. I am very happy that at my age, I am getting to play such interesting roles. In the past, I have played many historical roles - Gandhiji in Sardar, Vinayak Savarkar in Kala Pani and I feel very proud that now I will be essaying the role of Pandit Deendayal in his biopic. The role is challenging and it will be a great experience.”
