In his sixties, his fitness levels are awe-inspiring and his passion for work, unbeatable. The superstar walked in for the show looking cool and dapper, and of course, in his own filmi style made a dhamaka of an entry.

Once he settled in and was ready to unwind, Anil Kapoor regaled the live audience with interesting anecdotes from the past four decades of Hindi cinema, shared his views on stardom, sequels, South cinema and revealed what makes him an unstoppable force in cinema. ‘I don’t judge my past, and I have no regrets’The actor whose career spans four decades, tells us how he never looks back, instead, steadfastly moves ahead. “I don’t look back, I feel this is my best phase and these are the best people I am around. With that spirit I move on in life – personally and professionally. I believe that this is my best life, and these are the best people I am working with. This is my best interview, and this is the best audience. I believe the best is now, in this moment. I don’t judge my past, and I have no regrets. I believe I have to keep changing with time and keep moving forward. I have to understand what filmmakers want, and what the audiences want. I am a people’s person, and I am a director’s actor.”

‘I can continue my career doing remakes, but I want to move ahead’In the last few years, there has been buzz around remakes and sequels of several of his iconic movies like Mr India and Ram Lakhan. Reacting to that Anil says, “I have been very fortunate, and I can continue my career only doing sequels and remakes, but I want to move ahead. I think the universe wants me to create newer characters that will stand the test of time. I have done it in every decade of my career, and I am doing it even now. Mujhe peeche mudke dekhne ki zaroorat nahi.”
