Sneaking into theatres unnoticed and initially releasing a movie with limited screen power is an art which the Rajshris seem to have perfected. Before going to town with the release of Hum Saath Saath Hain, which had more prints in theatres than one can imagine, Sooraj Barjatya and company have always played selective, be it Maine Pyaar Kiya or Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.Come November 5, and the Rajshris will be back to their selective ways.

Their latest musical bonanza, titled Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe, which stars Jugal Hansraj and new find Tina Raana, will be released all over India with all of nine prints when a 'normal' Hindi film releases with atleast 150 prints. What's more, don't expect to catch the film in Delhi or other metros, as was the case with Maine Pyar Kiya and HAHK. Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe will, instead, be screened in small cities. For north India, Gorakhpur is the chosen town.''It is a different approach we are trying this time round,'' says Mahavir Barjatya of Rajshri, ''The publicity of the film will be kept as low-key as possible. And with the film not being released overseas and the number of prints in circulation being minimal, we hope piracy will not be a factor. If Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe is good and people want to see it, they will have to go to theatres.'' Of course, that is just part I of the Rajshri plan. As Mahavir reveals, ''If the audience likes the film, we will expand to other cities and theatres. As of now, however, there are no plans to release Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe in Delhi.''Shot mostly in Mount Abu and Mumbai, Hum Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe is a love story with a strong sub-plot of a mother-son relationship. The Raam-Laxman duo has scored the music for this Mohan Singh Rathore-directed movie.Meanwhile, all's quiet on the Rajshri front. But knowing the banner's track record, there promises to be a storm after the lull.
