Ananya Panday shares her tips on dealing with social media trolls

Actress Ananya Panday who is currently shooting in Lucknow for her next film 'Pati Patni Aur Woh', headed over to a prestigious college in the city to address students about her social media initiative, 'So Positive'.
The actress who has been the target of social media trolls on several instances initiated this cause to curb bullying on these platforms.
While addressing the students at the college Ananya shared her thoughts on why she chose to highlight this issue.She shared, "So social media is a place where I get a lot of love and maybe most of you know me because of it. The reason I am standing over here is because of Social Media. I don't think I would have had the confidence to come and speak over here. Social Media has given me so much love and its such a positive place. I love being on Instagram, I love posting, I could be just eating a Pizza or chilling with my friends because I want to show people the real side of me and I want them to see the unfiltered version of me. Because there is such a nice side of Social Media, I don't want anyone of you to feel that we shouldn't be on it because we will be bullied. It's unfair for you all to believe that you all can't be on Instagram, just because one person is hating you. I have got confidence in life from such nice people out there and I just want to bring out that nice side more."
The actress further added, "I think it's so scary in this world. There are so many people who don't have a heart like you (College student). The most important thing you should know is to keep your privacy safe. I think just try to be private on these platforms as much as you can. I had a private account but now as I am working and I want to connect with all of you, so that's why I have made it public."
She went on to add, "Just make sure that you are extremely private about your locations. You just can't stop people from creating new accounts. Most of the time just ignore them and I think blocking is an action, you are taking a step. Better than blocking, just ignore them, they will also get fed up and stop bothering you."
So Positive is a social media platform which intends to fight social media bullying and provides a voice to those who are going through it, or have been through it. The initiative's prime focus is to make people aware of the fact that this issue exists and stays very prevalent in society. Also, the steps that can be taken by the recipients of this destructive criticism to deal with this.
The actress will soon be seen in 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' alongside Kartik Aryan.
