Ananya Panday reacts to Bollywood stars getting paid to attend the Ambani wedding, describes Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's relationship as 'pure love'
Ananya Panday, who will be next seen in thriller film ‘CTRL’ along with Vihaan Samat, recently talked candidly about her experience of attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding in July this year. The ‘Student of the Year 2’ actress emphasized that she attended the high-profile Ambani wedding because Anant and Radhika are her friends. Panday, who was seen enjoying the time of life at the functions, also dismissed rumours that Bollywood celebrities were paid to attend the wedding.
During a recent conversation on Mashable India, Ananya was questioned about her enthusiastic, lively dancing at Anant's baraat. Talking about the same, she shared, “They are my friends. I don’t understand why people think like this. Obviously, I’ll dance wholeheartedly at my friends’ wedding. I love celebrating love.”
The actress described Anant and Radhika's relationship as "pure love" and spoke warmly about the deep bond they shared. She stated, “One big takeaway from the wedding was that so much was happening, but whenever Anant and Radhika would look at each other, it was just pure love. It felt like violins were playing behind them. That’s something I want in life — that no matter how much chaos is around, you and that person share that connection.”
Ananya Panday also talked about the Ambani family's efforts to make every guest feel valued and at home. She expressed a desire not to stereotype herself as an artist. She aims to continually evolve and has been fortunate in recent years to collaborate with filmmakers who challenge her. However, she finds particular enjoyment in stories characterized by simplicity, where fundamental needs and problems are addressed; it is within such narratives that she feels she thrives the most as an actor.
On July 12, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot following a flurry of pre-wedding festivities. Athletes, business executives, diplomats, and Bollywood celebrities all attended the extravagant celebration that marked the union of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.
On the work front, Ananya Panday is currently basking in the success of her recently released first web series ‘Call Me Bae’. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Colin D’Cunha, the show stars Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur in pivotal roles.

stupid actress who cannot even talk properly. What is the fundemantals and "always evolving" sxhit she is talking about? I wonder if she has anything in her brain at all that qualifies her as someone competent at one thing? Nepotism took her only so far. Now she is struggling and has to resort to meaningless sxhit like this interview.Read allPost comment
