Ananya Panday joins ‘Ahaan Panday Fan Club’ after watching Saiyaara: 'A star is born'

Ananya Panday couldn’t contain her excitement after watching cousin Ahaan Panday’s debut film ‘Saiyaara,’ which released in theatres on July 18, 2025. The actress attended a special screening at Yash Raj Studios and later took to Instagram to share her pride and admiration, declaring herself a member of the “Ahaan Panday Fan Club.”

Ananya calls Ahaan a star

Ananya shared two photos from the screening one showing her hugging Ahaan, and another with a sticker reading “Ahaan Panday Fan Club” stuck to her forehead. She captioned the post, “A star is born my Saiyaara @ahaanpandayy.” The gesture was widely appreciated by fans, who praised the sibling bond and Ananya’s public show of support.


Earlier, the actress had also posted childhood photos with Ahaan a day earlier, writing that she had been obsessed with her brother since day one and couldn’t wait for the world to feel the same.

Saiyaara sets box office record for debutants

As per Sacnilk, ‘Saiyaara’ earned Rs. 20.50 crore on its opening day, making it the biggest Bollywood debut for a newcomer-led film. The previous record was held by ‘Dhadak’ with Rs. 8.71 crore and ‘Student of the Year’ of Rs. 7.48 crore. Directed by Mohit Suri, the romantic musical stars Ahaan Panday as Krish Kapoor, an aspiring singer, and Aneet Padda as Vaani Batra, a budding journalist.


The film’s soundtrack, consists of compositions by Mithoon, Vishal Mishra, and Faheem Abdullah, has also received strong praise across platforms.

Panday family and industry insiders shower praise on Ahaan

Chunky Panday, Ahaan’s uncle, posted a heartfelt message calling him “his Saiyaara” and wished him love and luck. Bhavana Pandey, Deanne Panday, and Alanna Panday joined in with nostalgic posts and childhood photos. As reported by Times Now, the screening was attended by several celebrities including Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Alaya F, and Manushi Chhillar.


Industry insiders such as Mahesh Bhatt, Madhur Bhandarkar, and Salman Khan have reportedly praised Ahaan’s screen presence and emotional restraint, calling him a promising new face in Bollywood.

Saiyaara to stream on OTT after theatrical run

Produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Saiyaara’ will be available on Netflix following its theatrical release. Although the OTT release date has not yet been revealed, the movie's impressive box office success and word-of-mouth hype imply a big audience count on streaming debut.
