Anaitha Nair: Wedding belle!

That’s how Chak De! actress Anaitha Nair met her fiancé, Akhil Nair. “He’s a friend of mine from school and we’ve known each other since we were kids, but we fell out of touch. We then randomly met online and reconnected,” says Anaitha, who got engaged to Akhil in July.The wedding will take place on January 30. Anaitha, however, is sceptical about continuing a career in Indian cinema — and not because her fiancé has reservations about her doing so. “Akhil is based in Singapore now, and I’m moving there the day after we get married.
I do have a lot of work in Mumbai, like dubbing and some shoots, that will keep me coming back here for the first two months after the wedding,” she says. Right now, she’s got butterflies in her stomach about leaving the country. “I’m not someone who likes to be uprooted. But here I am, on the verge of starting a new life in a place where I don’t know a soul. But I’m actually excited and genuinely looking forward to it,” she beams.
