Before I step in I know what I''m supposed to do in front of the camera. The modelling prepared me to take on the nitty-gritty of acting.<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">But don''t you think modelling and acting are two different ball games altogether?</span><br />Of course, both the mediums are quite different. But being a model I had a good understanding about camera angles. I wasn''t shy about facing the camera. I was pretty confident unlike the other newcomers. Doing commercials and acting in films is a similar experience. Actually, it''s tougher in an ad, since you have to explain the whole story in a few seconds. You have to get the right angle, emotion and convey it across to the audiences in a few seconds.<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">How did you bag </span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Ab Ke Baras</span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">?</span><br />As I have already informed you, I was in modelling big-time. Raj Kanwarji saw me in some ad and his office got in touch with me. Though I had seen most of his films, it never occurred to me that he''s the same man who had made films like <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Deewana, Jaan, Jeet, Judai</span>, and <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Daag-The Fire</span>. So, after meeting him, when I realised that he''s the same man, I immediately agreed to do his film."<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Raj Kanwar is known to be a complete masala-film maker. Don''t you think you should have waited a while for another film? </span><br />What''s wrong with making a masala film? Aren''t all Hindi movies masala films, except maybe for a few like <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Lagaan</span>? Moreover, the way Rajji narrated the script to me, I was very excited about the project from the beginning. <br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Who''s your ideal actress? Now don''t say Kajol since you share the same secretary.</span><br />I want to be known as a versatile actress, like Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit. I like the way they perform and bring perfection to it.<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">A lot of people confuse your name with that of Amrita Arora who has also recently joined films. </span><br />Yeah. In fact, a lot of people told me about it. Now don''t tell me you came here thinking I was Amrita Arora. Just kidding.<br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Tell us something about your future projects.</span><br />I''m working in Raj Kumar Santoshi''s film based on Bhagat Singh where I''m playing Ajay Devgan''s fiancee. There''s a project with Ken Ghosh in the pipeline. And a couple of others. But it''s too premature to talk about it. </div> </div>
