Amitabh Bachchan to play himself in Kajol’s ‘Helicopter Eela’
Kajol’s upcoming film ‘
Now, adding to the buzz around the film is the fact that Amitabh Bachchan will also be a part of the movie. Seems, Big B will make a guest appearance in the film, and will be seen playing himself.
A news agency quoted the film’s director, Pradeep Sarkar, as saying that they needed Bachchan Sr for an important scene and requested him to be a part of the film. Much to his delight, Amitabh agreed.
‘Helicopter Eela’, as its title suggests, revolves around the concept of helicopter parenting, where parents become too involved with their children’s lives. In the movie, Kajol’s character will be seen following her son (played by Riddhi Sen), to his college.
Interestingly, the film’s team recently visited a college festival in Mumbai to interact with the crowd, and relive their college days. The cast was also accompanied by composer Amit Trivedi, and singers Ronit Sarkar and Palomi Ghosh.
While Ronit and Amit jammed with the students on ‘Mumma Ki Parchai’, a song from the film that reminds people of their mothers, Palomi launched the song — ‘Yaadon Ki Almari’ — at the event.
