Amitabh Bachchan remembers Zohra Sehgal as her birth anniversary just went by on April 27

Zohra Sehgal has been one of the most loved actresses of Hindi cinema. She was born on April 27, 1912. Infact, she's one of the first female actors of Indian cinema. She was 102 years old when she passed away and just remembering her face brings a smile to everyone’s faces. She’s been a danseuse, choreographer and also a stage performer.

Sehgal continues to be remembered for many of her roles and many actors have got the priviledge of working with her. As her birth anniversary just passed by, Amitabh Bachchan who played Zohra’s son in R Balki’s ‘Cheeni Kum’, remembers her. Big B shared a picture of her and he wrote, “I saw her perform on stage when I was in School .. and then to work with her in Film .. never ever imagined or dreamt .. what an incredible Grand YOUNG Lady! #ZohraSehgal”


She was such a cool mother to Big B’s character in this film also starring Tabu, that fan’s still can’t get over Bachchan and Sehgal’s mother-son chemistry. “Gym nai Gaye aaj? I remember her dialogue in #cheeniKam,” commented one user recalling her dialogue in the film.

On work front, Bachchan will be seen next in 'Project K'. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. Bachchan was injured on the sets recently and he's recovering post which the shoot will be resumed.
