In a heartfelt tribute to his late father, the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna Akkineni hosted a grand award event in Hyderabad today, (October 28). The ceremony brought together numerous stars from the film industry, including Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, who took the opportunity to honor fellow actor Chiranjeevi.

During the event, Mr Bachchan expressed his gratitude for the warmth and respect he has consistently received from the Telugu film industry. He highlighted the support he has received from Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Nag Ashwin, stating, “I can now proudly say that I am a member of the Telugu film Industry, I’m proud to be a member of the Telugu Film Industry.” A fan shared a video on Twitter capturing Bachchan’s remarks, where he humorously urged Nag Ashwin not to forget him while working on his next project.

Big B also praised the recently released film ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ in which he starred alongside Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, emphasizing its success. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, has earned over Rs 1,000 crores worldwide.

In response, Nagarjuna Akkineni shared that he had watched ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in theaters and conveyed to Bachchan, “Amit Ji, my original mass hero is back,” during a phone call after the screening.

The event was also graced by several prominent figures, including Nag Ashwin, Sobhita Dhulipala, Naga Chaitanya, Ram Charan, and Venkatesh Daggubati, among others, making it a memorable occasion in the Tollywood film community.
