Amit Sadh, high on the response for his recent release ‘Gold’, has been pumping iron lately. The actor has beefed up and currently weighs 90 kilos. He has been working out lately with a trainer who has previously worked with
Salman Khan. He admits the newfound physique is a part of his prep for some upcoming assignments.
margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height: normal;background:white“I have never been so big,” laughs Amit, adding, “That’s John Abraham at his leanest. I am so proud of him and I look up to him. That guy came into the industry on his own, was a model and and today, has made it big on his own. He has a fan following and is respected as one of the most genuine people in the industry. He should be saluted for achieving this on his terms. It’s not easy. I understand his journey – bina engine ki gaadi kheench ke door tak le gaya hai wo. I also respect his physique and all those people who have a great physique. It’s a pain to build a body and sustain it.”Several actors in the past have added or reduced weight to get into the skin of their characters. Doctors have often expressed their concerns over individuals trying to add or subtract weight from their body in a jiffy. Bring that up and Amit says, “We’re not making documentaries. You depict characters and have a vision that they would look a certain way. As an actor, I love doing psycho analaysis of all my characters. Lately, I have also been doing meditation to internalise a character, play it well at work and come back to my normal self when the lights go off. That’s the only way to stay connected with who one really is. As for the changes in one’s physical attributes, being an actor is not easy. This is the card I drew. I believe in this line by Johnny Depp; I chose this life. It’s imbalanced. If u tell me to put a substance in my body which is a must for me to play the part better, I will do it. I will continue to work on my craft and try to impact people and find a balance between life and work.”
