Ameesha Patel's shocking revelations about Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Lagaan, Anil Sharma and more

Legend has it that Kareena Kapoor quit Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and Ameesha Patel replaced her in this entertainer opposite Hrithik Roshan. However, Ameesha provided a different narrative about this and told Bollywood Bubble that director Rakesh Roshan had asked Kareena to leave the movie because they were having differences. Ameesha Patel went on to claim that Rakesh Roshan offered her the movie after seeing her at a wedding.

Ameesha Patel essayed an important part in 'Mangal Pandey: The Rising', co-starring Aamir Khan. Speaking about the casting of the movie, the 'Gadar 2' actress stated that Rani Mukerji was cast in a cameo in the movie. She told Bollywood Hungama that Aamir narrated her the story wherein she was cast opposite British actor Toby Stephens and that Rani was not the heroine of the film. Ameesha further stated that Aamir ended up changing the narrative halfway through the filming. The actress stated that she had a blast shooting with Rani for the movie.

Ameesha Patel had yet another opportunity to share the frame with Aamir Khan when she was offered ‘Lagaan’. The actress was offered the film when she was shooting for ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ in New Zealand. Ameesha in an interview revealed that she lost out on the movie because the director didn’t think she looked like a village belle, and that she was too polished and sophisticated for the character.

Ameesha Patel in one of her interviews also admitted to giving up her fees when producers faced financial losses. The actress had told Bollywood Bubble that at times when her films didn’t work producers would ask her waive her fees to minimise losses. She stated that she would let go of her money because ‘it’s very important to understand another person’s position’.
