The actress was spotted at the airport, and was asked by the paps about the possibility of a sequel to 'Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai' at the airport, the actress responded, “Ask Rakesh uncle or Hrithik. It should be made as the audience wants it.”

Earlier, in a conversation with News18, Ameesha recalled about the film's profound impact on her life. She shared, “From being a normal boy and girl-next-door, we became sensations. Rohit and Sonia became the nation’s crush. It wasn’t an ordinary film. People took home the characters. I was numb for many, many days after that. I don’t know how it sank in. It was just surreal!”.

The actress recalled on the impact of 'Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai'and its success, saying, “With a film like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, you live in their hearts. The characters were not just part of the movie; people took them home. Rohit and Sonia became the nation’s crushes. Everywhere you go—airports, restaurants, gyms—people recognize you, ask for autographs, and want pictures. That’s your first experience with stardom, and it’s euphoric.”
