All work & no play for the 'Guddu Rangeela' stars
It was a serious yet fun evening when the cast of the upcoming film Guddu Rangeela visited Gurgaon to promote their film.
Subhash Kapoor, the director of the film was accompanied by actors Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh and Aditi Rao Hydari. When the team entered the venue and the audience didn’t go gaga, Aditi told them about her Dilli connect. ‘Arre, main Dilli ki hoon. Aur chillao aap’. The actors maintained that even though the film has a backdrop of the Khap panchayats, it’s a fun film and that they bonded really well during the shoots.

Cold yet fun: Aditi spoke about how shooting the film in Shimla, Chandigarh and other such places wasn’t a piece of cake. “While in the film we may show that that the weather conditions are normal, we might actually have been shooting in extremely cold conditions. Subhash sir took us to actual locations and it was tough. Sometimes, while delivering dialogues, we were supposed to speak fast, but our mouths and jaws would get numb and jammed! If I had to hit someone for a scene, the body would take time to respond. We were looked after well during the shoot and it was fun,” she said, while talking about shooting in Shimla.

Mata can send an email too! Subhash was also prodded about the controversy surrounding the Mata Ka Email song and how it has hurt the sentiments of some religious groups. Subhash said, “I know that our effigies have been burnt in Ludhiana and we have been getting threats and some not-so-polite emails over the song. But we are not hurting any religious sentiments. We all know that Narendra Chanchal is known as the Shah Rukh Khan of religious songs. I heard his songs in my childhood. He had a song, Maa Ne Telephone Kiya Hai. It came at a time when there were landline phones. If Mata can call, why can’t she send an email? Ideally, this is unfair. When the Censor Board has no issues, then how can they question something without seeing it?”
