Karan Johar recently dropped a cryptic hint about shooting a romantic song for the final schedule of his upcoming directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. He had shared on Instagram, “shooting a song which is a homage to my favorite filmmaker of all times...Won't say any more....".
Turns out Karan Johar is planning to recreate an iconic look from his favourite filmmaker and mentor Yash Chopra’s blockbuster film ‘Chandni’. Apparently, Alia Bhatt's character in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ considers Sridevi from 'Chandni' as her role model. According to Bollywodhungama, Alia will shoot a special song for which Manish Malhotra has designed a chiffon saree look, similar to Sridevi’s iconic style from the movie. Alia will reportedly sport a minimalistic look in this song, while shaking a leg to a romantic number by Pritam.
With ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, Karan Johar returned to direction after a break of seven years. KJo’s last Bollywood directorial was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in 2016. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ is said to be a light hearted love story, starring Alia, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on July 28, 2023.
