The Kapoor family marked the 100th birth anniversary of legendary filmmaker and actor Raj Kapoor with a grand celebration, and Alia Bhatt played the perfect host as the Kapoor family’s daughter-in-law.

On December 15, Alia shared a heartfelt video montage from the event, which showcased memorable moments from the star-studded evening.

Captioning the post, Alia wrote, “Time isn’t measured by days, but by memories. Coming together to celebrate the eternal showman, loved by audiences of all ages and countries – the unparalleled Raj Kapoor. #100YearsOfRajKapoor.”

The video featured Alia interacting with several distinguished guests, including legendary actress Rekha and actor Kartik Aaryan. Other prominent personalities present were Kareena Kapoor Khan with Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt, and many more industry stalwarts. The entire Kapoor clan, led by Ranbir Kapoor, came together to honor the legacy of Raj Kapoor, making it a night to remember.

The celebration is part of the ongoing festival, Raj Kapoor 100 – Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman, organized by RK Films in collaboration with the Film Heritage Foundation and NFDC-National Film Archive of India. The festival pays tribute to Raj Kapoor’s enduring contribution to Indian cinema by showcasing ten of his most iconic films. Screenings are being held in 40 cities across 135 cinemas, including PVR-Inox and Cinepolis theaters.

Tickets for these screenings have been priced at an affordable Rs 100, reflecting Raj Kapoor’s philosophy of inclusivity and his dream to make cinema accessible to everyone. Films like 'Awara', 'Shree 420', and 'Mera Naam Joker' are part of the curated selection, offering audiences a chance to relive the golden era of Indian cinema.

Alia Bhatt, who looked stunning in a traditional saree, co-hosted the evening alongside her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. The event was a beautiful blend of nostalgia, family unity, and cinematic excellence.
