Alexx O'Nell reflects on his failed relationships with Sweta Keswani and Shama Sikander, reveals his current relationship status - Exclusive

Alexx O'Nell has showcased his talent across a range of roles in various Indian cinema projects like RRR, Roohi, Aarya, Main Aur Charles, Cheeni Kum, Madrasapattinam and more. His recently released film Ae Watan Mere Watan, where he stars alongside Sara Ali Khan and Emraan Hashmi, has generated anticipation among moviegoers.

In a candid discussion with ETimes, Alexx shared insights into his career journey and personal experiences, delving into his past relationships with Sweta Keswani and Shama Sikander, and the valuable lessons gleaned from those experiences. Additionally, he disclosed his current relationship status.

He reflected on his time on Nach Baliye 3 alongside Sweta Keswani as a significant period that granted him widespread recognition across India and opened doors to various career opportunities. However, he admitted that their marriage couldn't withstand the strains of pursuing different career paths and aspirations, resulting in a mutually agreed separation.

"Nach Baliye was a fantastic experience that boosted my exposure and career opportunities significantly. Sweta and I had a great time on the show and performed better than expected. However, we were quite young when we got married. We prioritized our careers, leading us to drift apart as we desired different paths. While she aimed to shift away from acting, focusing more on television and occasional films, I pursued opportunities in the film industry. We amicably parted ways, focusing on our respective paths and personal growth. I wish her the best. She's remarried. She has a daughter. Whenever we've met, I have been happy to see how happy she is," Alexx told us.




Similarly, Alexx mentioned his relationship with Shama Sikander and the inspiration she brought to his music career. Despite the relationships not working out in the long term, Alexx expressed happiness for both Sweta and Shama.

"But, yeah, life goes on. Also, a similar situation with Shama Sikander. She was a big part of my life, and a huge inspiration for my music. She appears in two of my music videos. She's now married, and I wish her all the best as well. A lot of people look back and they say, well, this relationship failed or that relationship failed. I don't look at it that way. I think you learn things from each relationship. If things don't work out, I think if you really do have that person in your heart, you want to see them recover and be happy and build the life that they want with anyone that makes them happy," he added.



When we asked if he is open to new romantic possibilities after his previous relationships, Alexx said, "I prefer to keep my private life private to avoid unnecessary attention or pressure. I am currently in a relationship with someone outside the industry and prefer not to disclose further details to respect her privacy. So if there's any ladies out there that read your article or listen to our interview, I am not available. I am taken."
