Ahead of the release of her upcoming film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan',
Alaya F opens up about her experiences in the film industry and reflects on the complexities of nepotism during an interview with NDTV Yuva. Notably, Alaya, who is the daughter of actor Pooja Bedi, shares insights into the fine layers of nepotism.
During the conversation, Alaya opened up on the topic of nepotism and said that her struggle was a privileged one. Nepotism also has levels and layers. Her nepotism got her into trouble. Directors and producers would meet with her, but no one gave her a movie. She got her first movie, 'Jawaani Jaaneman', after testing for one and a half years.
Alaya made her mark in Bollywood with her role opposite Saif Ali Khan and Tabu in the 2020 film 'Jawaani Jaaneman', directed by Nitin Kakkar, where she portrayed Saif's daughter. Her stellar performance in the movie earned her the prestigious award for Best Female Debut. Since then, she has showcased her talent in various projects, including 'Freddy' alongside Kartik Aaryan, 'Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat' starring alongside Karan Mehta, and 'U-turn'.
Alaya is all set for the release of 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' featuring an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, and Manushi Chhillar. The film centers around the characters portrayed by Akshay and Tiger, both Indian army officers, embarking on a mission to combat India's most formidable adversary, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The recently unveiled trailer for this Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has garnered significant attention from audiences. Scheduled for release on April 10, 2024, coinciding with Eid, anticipation is high for its debut.
