Akshaye Khanna, counted among Bollywood’s most reticent actors, is known to take his time when it comes to signing films. He was last seen on the big screen in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ and will soon sign up for a comedy. Before that he appeared in ‘Mom’ and ‘Ittefaq’ and his performances were appreciated in both films. While the talented actor has acted in a string of comedies over the years including ‘Shaadi Se Pehle’, ‘Mere Baap Pehle Aap’, ‘Shortkut’ and ‘No Problem’, his last comedy ‘Tees Maar Khan’ was way back in 2012.
Recent reports suggest that Akshaye has been signed on for ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’, a comedy, where he is supposed to have an important role. Known to be choosy about the roles he picks, it will be interesting to see the star in a comic caper. In the past it was said that Akshaye was staying away from comedies because he wasn’t interested in doing slapstick roles. ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’ will be the debut of
Ravi Kishan’s daughter Riva and
Padmini Kolhapure’s son Priyank Sharma.
On the personal front, Akshaye recently shared a touching post on his father Vinod Khanna’s second death anniversary.
