Akshay Kumar to begin the shoot of ‘Ram Setu’ in Ayodhya from THIS date

Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest actors in B-Town and he has nearly six releases this year. Currently, Akshay is on a vacation with his family in Maldives and upon his return, he will commence the shoot of ‘Bachchan Pandey’. According to a news portal, after Akshay wraps the shoot of ‘Bachchan Pandey’, he will start work on his next, ‘Ram Setu’. The actor, along with director Abhishek Sharma and creative producer Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi will reportedly fly to Ayodhya on March 18 for the mahurat shot which will be done at Ram Janmabhoomi.

Speaking to a news portal, Abhishek Sharma revealed that Akshay will be seen essaying the role of an archaeologist in ‘Ram Setu’ and it will be a completely new avatar. Khiladi Kumar's look will apparently be inspired by several Indian and international professional archaeologists. Leading ladies Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha will be seen essaying strong independent women in the film. As far as the location is concerned, producer Dwivedi mentioned that he had visited Ayodhya several times and the team will hold the mahurat shot in Ayodhya and commence the filming on an auspicious note. Not many are aware that director Abhishek Sharma had pitched 'Ram Setu' to Akshay Kumar in 2020.
On the work front Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited action-drama 'Sooryavanshi' will hit the theatres on April 30, 2021. "We promised you all a cinematic experience and that’s what you will get... the wait is finally over,” Akshay had tweeted while announcing that the cop drama will not just have a pan-India release, but will also have a worldwide box office opening. “Aa Rahi Hai Police #Sooryavanshi releasing worldwide in cinemas on 30th April 2021,” he had shared.
