Akshay Kumar reveals wife Twinkle Khanna once called his film 'bakwas' in front of producer; says they never worked with him again

Akshay Kumar recently shared that his wife, Twinkle Khanna, is candid and critical about his work. When asked about it, he didn’t hesitate to confirm that she gives him honest feedback, reflecting the fun and open dynamic in their relationship.

Akshay shared Hindustan Times that he doesn’t take his Twinkle to film screenings, so he usually watches his movies with her at home. He mentioned that Twinkle doesn't hold back her honest opinions, often criticizing scenes she finds bad or too long. Akshay recalled the first time he took her to a trial screening, where she bluntly called the film "terrible." The producer, not happy with her feedback, never worked with Akshay again after that.



The Khiladi star also expressed admiration for his wife, for always speaking her mind. He mentioned that while she’s brutally honest with her critiques, she’s equally generous with praise when she likes something. He recalled how she genuinely appreciated his film Khel Khel Mein, even though it wasn’t a commercial success, calling it a "hit" in his heart.



Ajay shared that his family, including his wife Kajol and their children, are equally honest with their opinions about his work. He mentioned that with the newer generation, they are aware of trends and what's popular, and they don’t hesitate to criticize when necessary. However, he humorously added that thanks to AirPods, he can tune them out when needed. When asked if his daughter Nysa lectures him on Gen-Z slang, Ajay revealed that both his kids enjoy correcting him on this, highlighting the playful and candid dynamic within his family.
