It’s a very good sign for our Hindi film industry that a newcomer, a new boy and girl, have had a successful film. And I welcome them. I'm very happy. Honestly, I’m saying this, it’s such a good thing."


The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri, has crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the box office, a huge achievement for a film led by newcomers. Akshay applauded both Ahaan and Aneet for their performances and also gave a big thumbs up to Mohit Suri’s direction and music choices.

"Anyway, I’ve been noticing that gradually more Hindi films are starting to do well, and that’s a good sign. And for a newcomer’s film to do so well is a really big deal. They’ve done a good job," he added. "One of my cousins watched it, I haven’t seen it yet, and they said they really enjoyed it, and both of them were amazing. And Mohit Suri has done an excellent job, and his choice of songs is amazing. We all know that."
