Akshay Kumar loves to play volleyball with Mumbai’s fishermen

It’s not every day that you can spot Bollywood stars playing a sport with the fans. But Akshay Kumar loves to play volleyball with Mumbai’s fisherman. The superstar has a beach facing property in Juhu Mumbai, and whenever he spots the local fishermen setting up volleyball net, he rushes down to the beach. The actor has always had an athletic streak and he reveals, “I like volleyball, cricket and swimming.There are times when I just hit Juhu beach, which is right below my building and the fishermen, they tie up a net in the evening to play volleyball. I like to join them and it’s a lot of fun playing them. Our matches get competitive too. We’re not able to play during the monsoons because the tide rises, but once its end of September or October, the fishermen setup the nets again and I look forward to playing with them.”
Akshay has become good friends with the fishermen and the locals look forward to seeing the star play an intense game on the weekends.
