Akshay Kumar pledges to help hairstylist Milan Jadhav

Akshay Kumar took to social media and shared an emotional post about his long time hairstylist Milan Jadhav, who passed away a few days ago, after a prolonged battle with cancer. It was reported that Akshay spoke to Milan's family, offered his respects and condolences and also pledged to take care of them going ahead. It is a truly noble and heartfelt gesture from Akshay.

Salman Khan helped Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma actor Dr Hathi

When late TV actor Kavi Kumar Azad, who used to portray the role of Dr Hathi in the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, was critical and hospitalised many years ago, it was Salman who had taken care of the operation costs and hospital expenses. Azad had to undergo bariatric surgery, following which he was placed in a ventilator. The charges for these procedures were borne by Salman.

Varun Dhawan taking care of driver Manoj Sahu's family after he passed away

It was in January this year that Varun Dhawan's driver Manoj Sahu suffered a heart attack and passed away. Manoj had been working with the Dhawans for 15 years and Varun and his father David Dhawan were shocked after his sudden passing. Not only did Varun help out with the hospital and cremation formalities, he pledged to take care of Manoj's family, which includes his two daughters.

John Abraham helped build houses for the needy

John Abraham has been an advocate for animal rights for a long time now. But his efforts in helping people and charitable causes has also been commendable. Many years ago, John had joined forces with fellow actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Bedi to sponsor the building of new home for poor families in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This was part of an international initiative, that aimed at giving decent housing to those who could not afford it.

Amitabh Bachchan sang in a Mumbai local train to support a social cause

Amitabh Bachchan not only travelled in a crowded local train in Mumbai, he also sang the iconic Rang Barse song along with a motley crew. A few years ago, Big B had shared on his blog that he got inspired by the social service of Saurabh Nimbkar and decided to join his cause. So they travelled in a train, collected money from co-passengers the proceeds of which went to cancer patients and their families.

Shah Rukh Khan donated 50 wheelchairs to Paralympics athletes

Shah Rukh Khan has many charitable endeavours and most of them don't even get talked about because the actor believes in not highlighting his humanitarian efforts. Nevertheless, a few years ago, one noble gesture from SRK did make news as he donated 50 wheelchairs to Paralympics athletes. In a statement, SRK had said, "We all are incomplete in one way or the other, and it is for us to embrace our imperfections and achieve our goals. Felicitating these para-athletes is a step forward in achieving the dream of representing India at the Paralympics.”
